Aber keinen, der es über das Supertalent von Dieter B. geschafft hat. Christiaan Van Vuuren war 180 Tage in Quarantäne, weil er sich in Südafrika Tuberkulose (Tb) eingefangen hat. Da er Blut spuckte und Tb äußerst ansteckend ist, wurde er sofort in Sydney in ein Krankenhaus verfrachtet, wo er mit 2 Wochen Quaratäne rechnete.

Leider verschlimmerte sich sein Zustand nach einer frühzeitigen Entlassung wieder, so dass er schnell wieder eingeliefert wurde – ohne Aussicht auf eine schnelle Heilung.
Eingesperrt in einem Raum, nicht größer als 6×4 Meter, wurde ihm es langsam langweilig. Da begann er, mit GarageBand und iMovie eigene kleine Videos zu produzieren. Eigentlich waren sie nur für seine Freunde und als Zeitvertreib gedacht. Doch es setzt sich schnell eine Lawine ins Rollen, als er beginnt, seine Videos auf youtube zu veröffentlichen.

Mittlerweile hat er auf seinen Video über 750.000 Clicks, war in diversen Lokalsendern, ist mittlerweile in den Staaten ein Renner und ist sogar im Projekt “A Day in the life of…” von Ridley Scott dabei.

Seit dem 28.6.10, nach über einem halben Jahr Quarantäne, ist Christiaan Van Vuuren wieder “auf freiem Fuß”. Mittlerweile sind seine Videos weltweit bekannt und sogar die WHO kam schon auf ihn zu und bat um Unterstützung für den World Tuberculosis Day.

Nun zeige ich euch das meiner Meinung nach  beste und kreativste Video. Da er einen ziemlichen australischen Akzent hat, schreibe ich unter das Video den Liedtext. Leider sind auch da einige Wörter drin, die ich nicht ganz oder gar nicht verstanden hab.

my production has improved
like if i really wanted it to than this esky could be removed
and in its place i could easily make some other shit appear
like tuna or teabags or two-minute-meal or even gingerbeer

and if i want a man-guitar-lick, then i just insert it there

and if i like a harmony, then all i do is sing
and re-record my own voice and just drop myself in

now they got me on six different drugs with asorted side effects
buuuuuut none that i know of yet

they also put a tube in my arm so the drugs can go in here
but it doesn’t work so well when i stick it in my ear

but luckily i’ve been teaching myself the long lost language of garbles

Sometimes when i want to kill some time while i’m here in quarantine
i’d like to get way-way medicated and dress up as wolverine

and the couple of times i had the urge to take it one step further
i’m re-arranging my quarantine-room as a fully dressed darth vader

i know, i know – it’s actually a storm-trooper helmet but it’s the best i can do in here.

did you know that my bed in here can mechanically elevate?
and i suppose it’s a nice private place to repetitively master***

i’m still here (parts missing) and have to mix it up.
you know, find new ways to chew my food – wait: one man, one cup?

but luckily i have all this friends to help em to strack my brain

Nun gibts wieder was neues von den Jungs. Und wieder wurde das Video in einem Take gedreht. Das Problem war nur, dass diesmal auch Hunde im Video mitspielen sollten und die ja bekanntlich nicht so verlässlich sind wie die Kettenreaktion aus dem ersten Video. Das Resultat daraus waren dann 4 Drehtage mit insgesamt 124 Takes… also 124 Mal von vorne anfangen, weil irgendetwas nicht klappte.

Die Jungs hamse nemmer alle…

Gestern sind wir schon um 5:45 Uhr aufgestanden um pünktlich an dem Treffpunkt für unseren Tagesausflug zu sein. Um 7:30 Uhr ging es mit dem Bus los. Nach 3 Stunden Fahrt hatten in dem kleinen Dorf Rockingham unseren „Morning Tea“ zu uns genommen. Anschließend fuhren wir eine ¾ Stunde weiter und hielten am Diamond Tree an. Der Diamond Tree ist 52 m hoch und man kann an Eisenstufen hochklettern. Nach ca. der Hälfte des Aufstiegs ging es senkrecht nach oben. Dort angekommen hatte man eine wunderschöne Aussicht in die Ferne.

Als wir wieder unten waren haben wir Mittag gegessen und uns mit einer deutschen Backpackerin unterhalten. Sie erzählte uns viel über ihre 8 Monate in Australien und sagte, dass sie noch weitere 4 Monate in Australien bleibt.

Nach einer weiteren Stunde Fahrt kamen wir am Tree Top walk an… Der Tree Top Walk ist 600 m lang und 40 m hoch. Auf einer Brücke dürfen höchstens 20, auf einer Plattform höchstens 10 Personen stehen.

Anschließend hatten wir „Afternoon Tea“ und dann ging es zurück nach Perth.  Nach einer Stunde Fahrt machten wir jedoch erst einmal halt beim William Bay National Park, der direkt an der Küste liegt.

Nach dem Aufenthalt an der Küste fuhren wir weiter zum Kodja Museum (Aborigine Museum) in Kojonup. Dort aßen wir Abendbrot und hatten eine Führung mit einem Aborigine.

Nach weiteren 3 Stunden Busfahrt kamen wir um 24:00 Uhr in Perth an.

Die Köchin möchte mit ihrer kuriosen Einführung nicht etwa ihre Gäste ärgern, sie möchte lediglich etwas für die Umwelt tun und gegen die große Verschwendung angehen, denn sie kann es nicht mehr mit ansehen, dass so viele Menschen ihr Essen auf ihrem Teller zurücklassen.
Einen großen Vorteil bietet das ungewöhnliche Restaurant jedoch trotzdem. Denn wer seinen Teller leert, bekommt 30 Prozent Rabatt auf seine bestellte Mahlzeit.
Na dann sollten wohl Besucher dieses Restaurants lieber einen großen Hunger mitbringen.
